Embracing Family
Leveraging the strengths of your family and brand
Learn to embrace your inner family business.
It's the "soft side" of the business that gives you differentiation and a competitive edge: your family, employees, values, and culture. The right culture, both internal and external, will attract high-talent employees, entice the next generation to join the family business, improve relationships with business partners, and will increase the overall return-on-investment of your brand.
How do you show up in the world? Are you proud of your image? Are there perceptions you would prefer to change? Katelyn Husereau, Manager at CFAR (Center for Applied Research), will guide you through these questions and discuss how to better leverage your family culture and brand to increase your company's enterprise value and competitive advantage.
Show & Tell
How do you demonstrate your unique culture and family identity to employees, customers, business partners? Bring a tangible aspect of your company and family culture to next week's meeting to share with other family businesses! This might be a family crest, an iconic photo, a book, photos of a family "museum," etc.
